Purchased 5 x gripsport bike racks from pod trailers and campers as wanted to be able to transport our bikes around NZ safely and securely. Made our own frame for the racks from the instructions on their website. The completed setup is excellent, bikes are safe and undamaged during travel, very impressed with how the bike racks work, best I’ve seen. Pod trailers and campers help and service was also excellent, they made the whole process very easy and provided great technical advise.

We are so rapt with the Gripsport Tilting Bike rack! We used it on our road trip around the South Island this christmas, and it worked like a dream… When tilted we had easy access to get into the back of the 4WD, and the brilliant design meant we didn’t whack our shins on it while trying get into the car. So easy to use that our primary school age son could get the bikes off and put them back on again all ready to go. We recommend to anyone in the market looking for a tilting bike rack that is sturdy (understatement) and easy to use (no more tie-downs!). A great investment.
We love going off the beaten track to go camping with the kid’s. This trip didn’t take us off the beaten track but to a beautiful spot in the Taurua’s, Mt Holdsworth.
Having the Gripsport 4 bike rack has added an extra aspect to our camping, being able to take all our bikes is awesome.
It is well made and will handle the off road tracks in it’s stride. With the bikes still on the rack we can tilt the rack down and get into the back of the truck. You can’t open it completely but it is enough to access the boot or use the third row seats.

I just had to write and let you guys know what we think of our new Hi-Ride carrier. We’ve had all manner of bike racks over the years including some damn expensive roof racks, but once we got some decent quality bikes ( c/fibre etc) I knew we were going to need something that would protect our new toys when travelling. And without a doubt the Hi-Ride is the not only the best at protecting the toys ( no more risk of driving under carports etc) but it is the quickest and easiest thing we have ever used. My wife thanks you! And of course so do I. So good to see an Aussie design that is tough, simple and easy to use.
I’ve used the Hi-Ride carrier with both my mountain bike and road bikes and I cannot speak highly enough of your product. For the first time I am 100% confident that the bike is safe from damage when being transported. Sure there are cheaper types of carriers out there, but none come close to the quality and design that you have. When you consider the cost of the bikes ( I can have over 10 grand sitting on the carrier) then the High-Ride is as cheap as chips.
Used my Hi-Ride rack twice this weekend for my carbon 29er. A one and half hour drive on Saturday and a one hour drive to the forest on Sunday. The rack is fabulous-my bike looked and felt secure. It was easy to put the bike on and take it off, and it doesn’t matter how dirty the bike is when you go home, because it is up back rather than dripping mud and dirt on the roof (when using roof racks). And I have already recommended it to a couple of MT bikers out there.
We purchased a Hi-Ride Carrier 2+2 from you and it is a fantastic piece of gear. In fact we are having so much fun using it (well my mates are happy to chuck their bikes on MY rack) that our rides have become longer and consequently we now finish at dusk, just in time for a night time drive home…..so I am in need of one of your Rack lights…
